OWOF Foundation’s free dental services camp: – In an exemplary act of community service, the One World One Family (OWOF) Foundation, LA Chapter, successfully organized a Free Dental Services Camp, offering essential oral healthcare to under-served individuals.
The camp, hosted at Tran’s Dental Facility, was made possible through the collaborative efforts of dedicated professionals and organizations committed to giving back. The Punjabi Dental Society, under the leadership of Chairman Dr. Devinderpal Nagra and President Dr. Ranjeev Salwan, played a pivotal role by providing a team of five skilled dentists. Their expertise, coupled with the unwavering dedication of OWOF Dental Coordinator Dr. Viral Ukani, ensured that underserved patients received high-quality dental care at no cost.
Supporting this noble initiative were Dr. Kris Dill, Director at the North-West College Dental Assistant Program, and Dr. Quynh Tran, CEO of Tran’s Dental, who generously offered their facility and a team of seven staff members to host the event. Their collective efforts, along with the invaluable contributions of Dr. Rajdeep Randhawa, Dr. Abhishek Joshi, Dr. Manuel Figueroa, and Dental Assistant Judith Orozco, all members of the Punjabi Dental Society, facilitated a seamless and well-organized day of service.
Additionally, CNUSD President Dr. Payne Stuart and his bilingual assistant played a crucial role in ensuring smooth coordination, welcoming 10 adult students per hour to assist in patient care.
This initiative was further strengthened by the generous support of the Gurdwara of Riverside, CA, which provided a nourishing lunch for all participants.
OWOF associates Kirti Hansji, Jaimini Mehta, and President Roopa Sharma extended their heartfelt gratitude to all volunteers, dental professionals, and sponsors who dedicated their time and resources. The utilization of Tran’s Dental’s nine state-of-the-art exam rooms enabled an efficient, comfortable, and effective treatment process.
“This initiative stands as a testament to the power of community service,” said Mrs. Roopa Sharma, President of the One World One Family Foundation. “By coming together, we can ensure that no one is deprived of basic healthcare. Today, we made a tangible impact—one smile at a time.”
Dr. Salwan emphasized, “These free dental camps are only possible through the generosity of volunteer dentists who dedicate their time and expertise to serving underserved communities.”
Dr. Nagra extended an open invitation to fellow members of the Punjabi Dental Society, which boasts over 7,500 dentists, to join in supporting underprivileged communities through similar initiatives.
