NEW DELHI: Aam Aadmi Party leader Arvind Kejriwal on Monday called for a ‘corruption-free’ environment for businessman in India. Speaking at CII, Kejriwal said AAP’s policy is honest politics.
“Every party talks about development, but can there be any development with corruption,” Kejriwal asked. He alleged that out fear, no one talks about honesty and safety.
He also said business should be free from political interference. “Why is a businessman hounded by the system and police? We have created a system where an honest businessman is scared of showing his profit. We need to encourage business, we have to simplify the system,” Kejriwal said.
“The government has no business to be in business, it should be left to the private sector,” Kejriwal added.
He also said that he is hoping to come to power again. “We are not against capitalism but crony capitalism, we are against those few businessmen who are looting our nation,” Kejriwal said.
