Life can’t get better for Priyanka Chopra. 2012 has indeed been a year that she will remember forever. While on one hand, her film Barfi! has not just proved to be a smash hit and won her critical acclaim for her performance, but also has become India’s official entry to the Oscars, on the other, she has released her first international single ‘In My City’.
Well, if that wasn’t enough, she has now been signed up for YRF’s Gunday, that’s being directed by Ali Abbas Zafar and stars Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor. With her signing the dotted line, the strong rumours that Katrina was being considered ‘strongly’ for the role can now be put to rest!
Talking about the film, Ali said that the film will be completely shot in Kolkata and that it’s a period film set in 1971 to 1988. He also added that the lead actors Arjun Kapoor and Ranveer Singh will be seen as Bengalis in this ‘not a love triangle’ film.
