PHAGWARA: The newly appointed Punjab Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) president Jasvir Singh Garhi has said that the state will be liberated from the clutches of Congress and SAD-BJP combine.
On his first visit to Phagwara after his elevation as President, Garhi told party activists and media June 14 that his objective was to enthrone a pro-poor government in Punjab under the banner of BSP.
“I will not rest on my oars till the mission of Dr BR Ambedkar and the dreams of Kanshi Ram are concretized,” he stated.
He said that he will take every party activist along and work day and night for the rise of BSP in Punjab..
“I will fulfil with utmost honesty and dedication the responsibility given to me by party supremo Behen Mayawati”,he said.
Earlier, he paid obeisance at Shiromani Guru Ravidas Mandir at nearby village Chak Hakeem and took a ‘sankalp’ for enthroning BSP in Punjab.
He was honored by the temple management with a robe of honor (siropa) and a replica of the temple.
He also planted saplings in the temple complex.
Party leaders Harbhajan Balalon, councillor Ramesh Kaul,Ashok Sandhu, Harbhajan Suman and others accompanied him.
