Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, while addressing the Indian diaspora in America in Santa Clara, made strong remarks about politics, unity, and the state of democracy in India. At the event, Rahul Gandhi was heckled by a group of Khalistani supporters who raised slogans against him and briefly interrupted his speech. Khalistani supporters from the audience started raising slogans against him and the Gandhi family in connection with the 1984 anti-Sikh riots. The Congress leader was addressing Indians at an event called Mohabbat ki Dukan organized by Indian Overseas Congress in Silicon Valley.
Rahul touched upon several issues ranging from the Bharat Jodo Yatra to his idea for uprooting the social and economic divide in the country.
