JAIPUR: With 1,739 coronavirus patients reported in Rajasthan cured of the infection till Wednesday, the state had the highest 46.98 per cent recovery rate in the country, a senior officer said.
While the active cases were 50.51 percent of the total, the mortality rate in Rajasthan is 2.52 per cent, said Additional Chief Secretary Rohit Kumar Singh.
Overall, the recovery rate in India is 27.66 percent.
As many as 1,275 patients have been discharged in Rajasthan, with active cases now 1,485, he added. A total of 93 deaths have been reported in the state due to coronavirus, Singh said.
Tamil Nadu has 39.69 percent recovered cases, Andhra Pradesh 31.69 percent and Madhya Pradesh 29.10 per cent.
Punjab has the least recovery rate of 10.39 percent while its active cases are 87.74 percent, he said.
