Ajay Devgn feels that films do make an impact on society and hopes his audience takes back “something positive” from his films.
Excerpts from a chat:
You’ve played a cop in various films and have done roles that do inspire people at certain level. Do you think films can make a difference in the society?
Every time something bad happens, people are quick to point that films are making a negative impact on youngsters. So in the same light I would like to take the credit that films do make a positive impact also. I am sure people take something positive after watching our films. But any change would not come about through one person, we all need to come together to bring out the change we want in the society.
You made your Bollywood debut along with Rohit Shetty with Phool Aur Kaante. Since then both of you have come a long way.
It has been great working with Rohit. In all these years he has matured a great deal. From the time he started off till now, Rohit seems to have come to know his audience really well and he only makes films for his audience. He doesn’t care about what the critics have to say about his kind of cinema and that’s why he is doing so well.
