CHICAGO: Bhartiya Seniors of Chicago (BSC) held Diwali celebrations here recently with great fanfare and enthusiasm.
Program began with Ganesh Vandana dance performed by Dancing Petals. Joint Secretary Rakshika Anjaria welcomed the guests and all members of the organization. Haribhai Patel, president of BSC, conducted ceremonial lamp lighting ceremony inviting guests on the podium. Mafatbhai Patel often described as Uncrowned King of Devon was joined by Narenbhai Patel of MedStar Lab, Chhotubhia Patel, Pareshbhai of Mega Circuit for the lamp lighting event. Haribhai Patel and Parashottam Pandya, Secretary BSC gave brief information about the organization.
After that Baria group performed Garba, Masti Group sang songs in memory of late Manna De. Air Tour, headed by Mafatbhai Patel, announced free Bahama Cruise 3 days package prize draw for one couple. Air India Manager Rishikant Singh announced free air ticket to any destination in India. BSC President Haribhai Patel announced 5 Raffle prizes for senior members.
The BSC Committee announced Appreciation Awards for Leadership, Dedication, Commitment to Committee Member Ramsingh Parmar, Treasurer Madarang Chavda, photographer Jayanti Oza and Midwest Bureau Chief of TV Asia Vandna Jhingan.
Kadva Patidar Samaj of Chicago trustee Narendra Patel, Jatin Patel, Joint Secretary Rajesh Desai, Board of Director Harshad Patel, honored BSC President Haribhai Patel by presenting a shawl for his leadership qualities.
The program ended with a vote of thanks and dinner.
