ST LOUIS: Arts & Faith St. Louis hosted music concert focusing on “Great Music of Many Faiths” at the Sheldon Concert Hall on September 16. This is an annual affair for the Arts & Faith St Louis since the 10th anniversary of 9/11. This year’s concert included various groups who sang their cultural and religious songs. Each song had a very unique tune and beat that kept the audience glued to their seats.
Unlike other years, Arts & Faith St. Louis this time gave the audiences an elevated taste of the impact various inter-faith groups have had in the Greater St. Louis region. The groups showcased past interfaith events and promoting the upcoming ones. Each inter-faith group had set up a booth where they showcased how their faith and community is helping uplift the spirits and giving back to the wider society.
Bal Vihar’s booth focused on various inter-faith activities it has been participating in recent years. This included construction, community service projects (walk for water, poverty simulation) and visits to other places of worships. Bal Vihar Youths were beaming with confidence and pride as they shared all the activities they have been involved in. The youths shared information on Hinduism, their religious beliefs and the impact they have had on the community.
Audience’s interest in the booths was phenomenal. They stopped by various booths to learn about how each faith is engaging in wider St. Louis community to generate hope for a peaceful and harmonious world.
