MUMBAI: Simon Fuller, the man behind popular shows like “Pop Idol”, “So You Think You Can Dance” and “Q’Viva”, is launching a new global pop group named Now United for which he is searching for Indian singers and dancers.
The selected persons will represent India alongside artistes from ten countries including Japan, Korea, China, UK, US, Mexico and Brazil.
Now United will showcase the talent of young boys and girls, who are passionate for performing.
Talking about the group and his search for talent in India, Fuller said, “I have always loved the rich and colorful nature and scale of Indian music and dance, so in putting together this innovative global pop group, it was so important to me to have this as a strong creative influence.
“India, in particular, is so exciting for us because of the sheer diversity that exists around the country. The sounds, the instruments, the style and showcase of each region is so different from each other. It’s essential that we have the sound of India showcased in what we hope will become the biggest pop group in the world.” –PTI
