FREMONT, CA: Sitaarre TV team efforts got noticed and in recognition of their continual services received an award for Best TV Show by women entrepreneurs at IFAB Music Awards on March 3 in New Jersey. The event was organized by Juhi Jagiasi, CEO of IFAB.
Sitaarre TV was founded by two women entrepreneurs Kavita and Poonam (A mother-daughter team) in 2007 with the primary mission of connecting the South Asian Diaspora with its language, arts, and cultural roots, along with assisting non-profit organizations that educate and provide free meals to underprivileged children; help battered and domestic violence impacted women; financial literacy; and many other different life-changing causes which bring positive changes in people’s life.
Sitaarre TV shows air in California, New Jersey, New York, Chicago, Seattle and Minneapolis/St. Paul.
According to Kavita, her mother Poonam is totally passionate about Sitaarre TV show. She can be seen operating a camera, pre/post video production, coaching new hosts and covering a community event.
About IFAB Award
It is the only award for local talent in USA. The award is presented by Jewel of India to recognize achievements in Indian Music, Media, Fashion and Pageant Industry in the USA. Jewel of India recognizes the fact that there are many people who are leaders in their own field and have not yet carried a spot in Bollywood. This is one such platform to honor their outstanding achievement.
