SAN FRANCISCO: Swami Nityananda, a spiritual master from India of the Siddha lineage of Baba Muktananda, is visiting Berkeley next month.
Swami Nityananda will be visiting Berkeley on May 16, 17 and 18, providing a unique opportunity for the San Francisco Bay Area community to listen to and interact with this highly respected meditation teacher.
Meditation is known to have a wide range of benefits on both physical and mental health. This is a rare opportunity to meet a master of this caliber, to learn from him and experience meditation in his presence.
Swami Nityananda stresses the need to know our true Self. “We often identify with the various labels that society gives us”, he says. With simple anecdotes he elucidates how often we are not even aware of how subtly our habits modify our behavior. “The greatest quality a seeker should have is discrimination. We must never switch off our discrimination because the actions that we perform create our destiny.”
Swami Nityananda is the spiritual successor of Baba Muktananda, one of the leading spiritual masters to teach meditation widely throughout the world.
The programs will include chanting, meditation, discourse, question and answer sessions, and the chance to meet with Swami Nityananda.
