TORONTO, ON: Patrons at the18th Annual Suhaag Show witnessed breathtaking wedding fashion, the hottest trends in decor, make-up and hair, photography and video, cakes and more! The event was presented by Chevrolet in association with TD Bank. This year also saw the biggest fashion issue till date with the launch of the 16th edition of the Suhaag magazine.
With their latest collections in bridal and party wear, leading fashion houses were at the show wooing throngs of young brides and grooms. Over 150 booths were on hand to consult with young couples who were accompanied by parents, siblings and extended families. People came in full force when doors opened at 11 am at the Toronto Congress Centre.
Stunning decor displays from Diya Décor, Karma Design Studio, and Dream Party Décor, to name a few brought novel concepts to this show and added an element of drama!
Popular television show host (Bollywood Boulevard on CityTV and OMNI), Veronica Chail made the fashion shows fun and classy with guest emcee Rick Matharu-former grand prize winner of Food Network Canada’s show Recipe to Riches for his butter chicken lasagna.
This year in addition to fabulous giveaways from the show’s beauty sponsors, financial planners from associate sponsor, TD Bank were on hand to provide key tips to engaged couples embarking on their journey together; all over a cup of chai.
The first 300 brides received a free copy of the glamorous 2015 Suhaag magazine! This year’s edition has the latest colour, styles and trends in fashion.
The magazine also features content that appeals to a wide range of individuals including newly engaged couples, their families and friends. The magazine will be available in early March at Chapters and Indigo bookstores across the country.
Other prizes presented on stage included a 7 night stay at Bahia Principe in Mexico, Jamaica or Dominican courtesy Absolute Wedsite, Gold Coins courtesy TD Bank; complimentary hotel stay at the Fairmount Royal York; foursome round of golf courtesy Clublink and much, much more!
The main draw prize was a car. All those that attend the show had a chance to win a Chevrolet car.
If that was not enough, those who were present at the event also got a glimpse of this year’s upcoming fashion trends by the GTA’s Top 12 fashion boutiques. The uniquely created designs displayed not only conventional outfits, but also traditional styles fused together with Canadian designs.
