NEWARK, CA Peter Sahjani and Dahya Mistry of Star Entertainment presented their live band Golden Era Musical Journey “Sunehri Yadein” event on Friday September 9 at Chandni Restaurant in Newark, CA.
The show started at 8:15 pm with the video projection on Tributes to the Golden Era Music Directors, Naushad Ali, Shanker Jaikishan, Madan Mohan, Laxmikant Pyarelal, O P Nayar, SD Burman and RD Burman, which was managed by Nikhil Jindal.
The accomplished singers of the Bay Area Mandeep Singh, Vikas Singh, Geetesh Iyer, Anuja Surlaker, Ria Nilawar, and Puja Purandare, along with popular Pakistani guest singer Arif Rizvi sang soulfully and rocked the entire house
Young singer Geetsh Iyer got a standing ovation for his mesmerizing solo song “Ek Chatur Naar Karke Singar” from movie Padosan.
Elena thrilled the audience with her dances numbers starting with “Chalte Chalte” from hit movie Pakeezah and “Hothon Pe Aise Baat” from movie “Jewel Thief”. The NKD Arts dance group headed by Deepak Arora entertained the audience with their medley dances numbers from Golden Era movies of Raj Kapoor, Dilip Kumar, Shammi Kapoor, Dev Anand, Rajesh Khanna and Amitabh Bachchan.
The concluding songs Medley left a lasting impression on the audience making them dance non-stop.
The Melody Makers Live band team included Rajeshvar Singh on guitar, Rohit Singh on keyboard, Ashu Singh on dholak and Hivayat Ali on drums, along with another known keyboard player Vikas Salvi . The sound system was provided by popular Edwin Singh.
Chandni Restaurant’s scrumptious dinner included veg & non-veg dishes along with appetizers and dessert. Popular Anchor Sunny Moza entertained the audience throughout the evening.
