FREMONT: There is a famous saying “Netra Daan, Maha Daan”. It means gift of vision is best charity one can do. Sankara Eye Foundation (SEF) has been doing exactly that since 1998.
Co-founded by Mr. Murali Krishnamurthy, SEF has been aggressively working towards providing eye care, which was hitherto unaffordable and unreachable to most of Indian population. Their aim of 80/20, wherein they perform four free surgeries for each paid one, is giving hope to multitude of poor. SEF also aims to establish 20 hospitals by 2020.
In order to achieve this aim, they are trying to raise $100 million by 2020.
Sunidhi Chauhan starring Krazy2 events are part of the fund raising plans for SEF. Sunidhi Chauhan and Ali Zafar performed to packed halls and super excited audiences.
Sunidhi Chauhan is perhaps the most sought after singer Diva in Bollywood today. Starting at age 13, she has been giving one hit song after another for the past many years. Ali Zafar is up and coming Bollywood actor who also has a unique singing talent.
The evening started around 7pm with Sunidhi Chauhan singing her hit song ‘Aisa Jadoo Dala Re’. She brought the house down with hit songs such as “Ishq Sufiana”, “Bin Tere” and “Yaaram”. Ali Zafar made the performance up close and personal by moving through the hall while singing. He touched many a people in audience with his charm.
The duo next performs in Los Angeles, Texas and other places in USA. Funds raised from these events will go a long way in fulfilling the SEF vision, immediate goal being opening a new eye hospital in Jodhpur, Rajasthan.
