CHICAGO: Tamil Nadu Foundation (TNF) Chicago Chapter organized a lively and unforgettable kickoff event to commemorate the 50th anniversary of TNF and announced the upcoming three-day golden jubilee celebrations to be held in May 24-24, 2024, at Rosemont, a Chicago suburb
The kickoff event was well attended with over 700 guests including government officials, corporate leaders, and members of the society at large. The event was hosted at the Yellow Box auditorium, Naperville, a Chicago suburb,and featured inspiring talks from distinguished Congressmen, Dr. Bill Foster representing IL 11th District, and Raja Krishnamoorthi representing IL 8th District.
TNF expressed its heartfelt gratitude by presenting awards to the Congressmen for their outstanding contributions to the State of Illinois and the Nation, particularly in the realm of high-skilled immigration.
The Chicago chapter leaders have also invited TNF national leaders and distinguished members from the business community who are willing to help provide resources and support for the noble cause. Speeches by important members of the board highlighted the impact that TNF has had over the past 50 years in providing support and services to those in need. This event was especially meaningful to those who have been involved with this organization since its inception and marked a special moment in its history.
Following the speeches, the attendees were treated to stand-up comedy by Adhavan, an actor and mimicry artist from India and four-long hours of live music by QFR team, along with delicious food
Guests were delighted by TNF’s mission to help those in need, while taking part in international exchanges and activities that promote cultural awareness and understanding. Through this event, the organization was able to spread the word and began their journey towards success.
Credit for the seamless organization of the event goes to the TNF Chicago Chapter board members and dedicated volunteers, TNF members are actively planning to organize a successful three-day Golden Jubilee celebration scheduled to take place at Rosemont Theatre, Chicago, between May 24-26, 2024. The celebration will feature a variety of events that bring together both young and old generations of people from around the world. In addition to celebrating key moments from the past while also looking ahead to future accomplishments, TNF aims to inspire those attending to continue their pursuit of progress for Tamilians everywhere across the world.
