Tisca Chopra is delighted with the audience applauding her performance in the murder mystery, Rahasya. “It is a very different role and has surprised everyone. It was bit of a risk, but luckily, the gamble paid off,” says the actress.
She feels that she has established herself as a versatile actress over the years. She is now looking forward to her forthcoming releases in which she plays diametrically different roles. “I love challenges. I’m in a good space, working with a bunch of good directors. Some great scripts are coming my way,” she adds.
Tisca will be seen in pivotal roles in four releases this year. There is Qisaa, an international production, followed by the slice-of-life Highway in Marathi, the period film Kaaksparsh in Hindi and Tamil, and finally Loveshuda, a comedy-drama. She says, “I’ve always wanted to try my hand at comedy and have finally got the opportunity this year. I am glad that I have ducked the stereotype — I’m neither babe nor bhabhi nor beeji, and yet can be all three.”
