NEW DELHI: UK Health Minister Anna Soubry met her Indian counterpart Ghulam Nabi Azad here and discussed ways to explore opportunities for increasing collaboration in healthcare sector.
Soubry is leading a British health sector delegation, including a group of medical device companies, on a five-day tour to discuss the future of India-UK collaboration in the field, a British High Commission release said.
“I am delighted to be in India. It is a valuable opportunity to deepen the enduring relationship between our countries and to strengthen our co-operation in response to growing needs of innovation in the healthcare sector,” she said.
“I am also looking forward to collaboration between the two countries in areas of private and public health care and education providers,” the visiting minister said.
Besides New Delhi, the delegation will also visit Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore and Trivandrum to hold interactions for carrying forward its cooperation agenda. -PTI
