When Vidya Balan chose to not go ahead with being a part of Sujoy Ghosh’s edge-of-the-seat thriller Durga Rani Singh, Sujoy chose the formidable actress Kangana Ranaut and everything seemed once again hunky-dory for Sujoy’s film. But it is now learnt from sources that Kangana has told Sujoy that she will not be able to do the film due to lack of time.

Sujoy apparently needed 3 to 5 months of Kangana’s time, including her doing workshops in Kolkata in June for the film. Kangana is committed to doing Aanand L Rai’s sequel to Tanu Weds Manu which starts shooting in July, prior to which she needs to be in New York to complete her script writing course.

Kangana had earlier told us about how Sujoy’s film was a great script that she was really looking forward to being a part of. But it’s true that every film has its destiny and we are sure this film will have its own too. But for now, Sujoy seems to be sitting on the edge himself, looking out again for his Rani.
