IABC sends shipments of lifesaving medical equipment to India

CHICAGO: The Indian American Business Council [IABC]  – a Chicago based organization    with community participation acquired a stockpile of oxygen concentrator units, converters, surgical gowns, masks, digital thermometers, oximeters and hand sanitizers to dispatch them to India

This was done with a view to save lives by delivering life-saving medical equipment. After the first shipment, this second shipment of crucial medical equipment/supplies sent out for distribution to vulnerable regions

India facing a second wave of Corona virus with a new and more lethal variant The crying need for the oxygen supplies looming large, IABC intensified its efforts to acquire life-preserving medical equipment, more importantly, oxygen concentrator units from every potential vendor and manufacturer for dispatching to India.

Keerthi Kumar Ravoori, IABC President said  “we are making this effort of sending the life-saving medical equipment and other accessories to India as we are overwhelmed to see the lives being snubbed out by lethal variant. IABC is committed to play its part in alleviating the suffering of the families afflicted by this dreadful contagion.”

Ajeet Singh, IABC Chairman who is spearheading this mission said“ I have seen firsthand suffering of afflicted patients loosing lives due to lack of oxygen in hospitals; It is based on this compelling exigency, we at IABC initiatedthis plan to mobilize oxygen concentrators and other lifesaving medical supplies.”  He added that the first consignment shipped out early in May has helped a great deal in saving lives in the areas more affected by Covid.  “ We shall not stop until we join India in its fight to eradicate the scourge of Covid. “ he said.

Harish Kolasani Founder of IABC has joined the quest to shore up additional medical equipment and is actively fostering partnerships with hospitals to send additional equipment to India.

This humanitarian move has been initiated by Ajeet Singh, Keerthi Kumar Ravoori along with Nick Verma & Satish Dadepogu. Our next step is to work with the office of the U.S. Congressmen to facilitate granting and release of medical equipment/supplies in the fight against the lethal contagion,” Ravoori added.
