What a spectacular night it was! Cerritos College came alive on September 13, 2025, as the community gathered for an unforgettable Garba and Dandiya Raas evening headlined by none other than the Garba Queen Aishwarya Majumdar
From the very first beat of the dhol, the energy in the hall was electric. Aishwarya Majumdar’s soulful yet powerful voice had the audience on their feet, with circles of dancers forming instantly. She delivered traditional Garba numbers, devotional favorites, and high-tempo medleys that kept the crowd dancing for hours without pause.

Aishwarya interacted directly with the audience, encouraging both seasoned dancers and first-timers to join in.
The peak of the night came when she performed a medley of popular Garba hits — the crowd erupted, dancing with unstoppable energy.
Community Impact
The event wasn’t just about entertainment — it was about togetherness. It showcased the power of cultural traditions to unite people and do MAA AMBAJIS ARADHANA AT THE SAME TIME AND CELEBRATE HERITAGE and create lasting memories in the heart of Southern California.
Food & Festivities
Local food stalls The Cake Corner, sangam pan, sugarcane juice, ice gola, delucious corn, added to the festive atmosphere, serving favorite Indian snacks and drinks, allowing dancers to recharge and dive back into the fun. The mix of music, dance, food, and community created a festival-like atmosphere that people will be talking about for weeks.
Spotlight on the team behind Garba Night 2025
While the music, colors, and rhythms made the night unforgettable, the true magic of Garba Night 2025 was the vision, dedication, and hard work of its organizing team.
At the heart of the event was Event Coordinator Hiral Trivedi, whose leadership and passion turned the vision into reality. From planning every detail to ensuring the flow of the evening, Hiral’s tireless efforts ensured a seamless and joyous celebration.
“My dream was to create an evening where culture, music, and community unite,” Hiral said. “Watching people of all ages dancing together was the greatest reward .It feels incredible. Months of planning, endless phone calls, meetings, and coordination all came together tonight. The joy on people’s faces and the unity we saw on the dance floor made every bit of effort worthwhile. Garba is more than just dance — it’s about culture, family, and togetherness, and I’m so proud we could create that experience.” Special thanks to my entire volunteers crew. We turned challenges into opportunities we are looking forward to do bigger and better experience with every coming year.
