Sushmita Sen was stuck in London, thanks to the devastating hurricane Sandy which hit the United States.
On the way to LA for a charity event, the actress was supposed to fly into New York City from London before covering the final lap of her final destination.
“And now I’m here in London. I was on the way to NYC en route to LA. Now with the storm in NY, I am stuck in London,” grumbled Sushmita good-naturedly from London.
‘Stuck’, perhaps is not the right word. Because Sushmita decided to make the best of the time in London, catching up with a couple of old friends whom she hadn’t met for a while.
Though she’s tightlipped about the purpose of her visit to LA, it is learnt that she was flying in to attend a fundraiser for an organization named Pratham. From Los Angeles, Sushmita was to fly into San Francisco for another fundraiser for a charity called Home Of Hope.
She flew out alone this time without her two daughters, as they are not allowed to miss school.
