CHICAGO: The Federation of Indian Associations, a break away group setting up a separate FIA, has announced hosting India Day celebrations in a grand way.
Sunil Shah, the founder President, said there would be a gala entertainment program on Saturday August 9 at Copernicus Center on Laurence Ave in Chicago featuring Bollywood singer Mika Singh and Sunny Leone. The entertainment program will be graced among others by Meenakshi Lekhi, a member of Indian Parliament.
The culmination will be on Saturday August 16 with Flag Hoisting ceremony in Village Schaumburg in Schaumburg. Shah said that besides Indian Consul General Dr Ausaf Sayeed the elected officials of Schaumburg Village, Hoffman Estate, Hanover Park, Congresswoman Tammy Duckworth and State Senators and Representatives are invited as Special Guests and are expected to attend the event.
