CHICAGO: A Nepali community activist and president of Chicago Nepal Terrain Society, Ramkrishna Shah has added a new feather in his cap of achievements by being a recipient of a prestigious award from India – Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Nobel Award 2018.
The awards are instituted by BANA Committee for promoting international talents in all walks of life. The committee informed Ramkrishna Shah that his nomination for the award is accepted and he is invited to attend the ceremony scheduled on April 8 at Hotel Sea Princess on Juhu Tara Road in Mumbai north.
Ramkrishna is very active in community work and recently his Nepal Terrain Society had organized, for the first time, a Holi festival event that was attended by hundreds of Nepalis, Indians and other distinguished guests from Chicagoland. The event was free for all and Ramkrishna got lot of kudos for its success. He indicated that this will be an annual affair.
