SACRAMENTO, CA: On his maiden visit to Sacramento, renowned humanitarian and spiritual leader, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar will conduct what will be the largest meditation event in Sacramento. The special program Meditation 2.0 – Beyond Mindfulness, an evening of wisdom, music and relaxation, will be held on Monday, March 16, 7:30pm at the Sacramento Memorial Auditorium.
Sri Sri has been conducting Meditation 2.0 all over the United States to packed houses. Meditation 2.0 empowers people to do more of the things they love by going deeper into meditation. Sri Sri brings ancient techniques to people in a way that is meaningful in the 21st century. Sri Sri Ravi Shankar will talk about the greater power of meditation, lead the participants into one of his very popular meditations and also answer questions that the audience may have. The ease and depth of this event resonates as much with beginners as with advanced practitioners. Tickets: http://tiny.cc/srsrisacramento
“We feel honored that Sri Sri Ravi Shankar has chosen Sacramento to conduct this program. Finally, the people of this city and the neighboring areas will get a chance to experience what millions of people around the world have been experiencing,” said Deepak Gilra, one of the organizers of the event.
Deepak is a senior instructor and one of the volunteers of the Art of Living Foundation (AOLF), which is organizing the Meditation 2.0 – Beyond Mindfulness. The Art of Living Foundation has been imparting Sri Sri’s meditation and breathing techniques in the greater Sacramento area for more than two decades. “Now the people will have a chance to experience the meditation live with Sri Sri and also get a chance to interact with him,” said Deepak.
All of AOLF’s programs are guided by Sri Sri’s philosophy: “Unless we have a stress-free mind and a violence-free society, we cannot achieve world peace.”
