CHICAGO: The NRI Seva Foundation in collaboration with Indian American Business Council [IABC] hosted a curtain raiser for the Vibrant Tamil Nadu Expo & Summit on Friday, May 11 at Meadows Club in Rolling Meadows, a Chicago suburb, showcasing the Global Expo Summit to be held later this summer in Madurai, Tamil Nadu and India.
Vibrant Tamil Nadu Global Expo and Summit 2018,the first of its kind of expo, focused on the food and beverages sector in Tamil Nadu. It is being organized from 12-15 August at the grains yard in Madurai, Tamil Nadu with delegates from 20 countries including US and large number of companies from India participating in it.
Consul General of India Neeta Bhushan, who was the Chief Guest inaugurating the road show, congratulated the Vibrant Tamil Nadu hosts Dr Jagat Shah, K.T. Rajan, Chairman and Harish Kolasani of NRI Seva Foundation. Ms Bhushan assured the support of her office in promoting this global food summit including making a collaborative effort with Chicago based agencies in seeking to promote business ventures and opportunities in India.
She lauded the efforts of Harish Kolasani of NRI Seva Foundation and the IABC team that seeks to promote Tamil Nadu’s food festival.
Dr. Jagat Shah, President, Founder of Cluster Pulse & Global Network [an international trade advisory firm] made a presentation on India’s rising eminence in the business world and appraised its burgeoning potential to be an exceptionally ideal place for investment and/or starting a business. He added that India is the investment destination due to its robust infrastructure and strong returns on the investment.
K.T.Rajan, Chairman and Managing Director for Raj Exim Group of Companies, extended a warm invitation to the guests and urged the Indian diaspora to be a part of the historic Vibrant Tamil Nadu Food Summit.
Harish Kolasani, President, NRI Seva Foundation, said that the Vibrant Tamil Nadu 2018 is a distinctive initiative that aims towards unifying and synergizing the key players and solutions providers in Food sector. It provides a platform for the customers, manufacturers, researchers, technologists and innovators to discuss, share, debate and celebrate the best of the food and beverages industry. He presented CG and KT Rajan with flower bouquets.
Earlier, Keerthi Kumar Ravoori, Director, NRI Seva Foundation, presented a brief overview of the Foundation and highlighted the milestone achievements in fostering its humanitarian work in India. He also highlighted IABC’s role in helping connect small/medium business between India and USA.
Arshad Qureshi, President of IABC, welcomed the guests and introduced the speakers and said the organization will proactively promote the Vibrant Tamil Nadu Summit through its network of partners and organizations. Girish Kapur, IABC Vice President said Vibrant Tamil Nadu 2018 will be an ideal place to meet, interact, network and discuss business possibilities for US exporters, importers, customers, experts and all professionals in the food and beverages sector. The IABC Directors present included Maya Patel and Nazneen Hashmi.
The key highlights of the Summit are Knowledge Seminar with international speakers from over ten countries; MoU signing with international partners; Factory visits for importers; B2B and B2G meetings with potential importers and sightseeing.
