Fremont, CA: It was a beautiful synthesis of patriotism, cultural awakening, Hindu values along with traditional ceremonies to inaugurate Premier of the most talked about movie in Bay Area – ‘Swatantrya Veer Savarkar’ on Friday, March 22nd at Cine Lounge Cinemas.
Starting with traditional lamp lighting, mantras and ribbon cutting, Fremont City Mayor Lily Mei and Americans4Hindus (A4H) and Festival of Globe (FOG) Founder, Dr. RomeshJapra extoled the values represented by Savarkar.
‘Swatantrya Veer Savarkar’ is directed, co-written, and co-produced by Randeep Hooda. This biopic on Veer Savarkar is co-produced by Silicon Valley’s Anoop Singh Rahar and YogeshRahar of Avak Films. This movie premiered the same day across more than1000 theaters worldwide.
Randeep Hooda and AnkitaLokhande played superb lead role and made audience glued to the screen for the entire duration. In a three-hour film, Savarkar’s life story was beautifully depicted and showcased the true story of a patriot and hero who had immense influence on freedom fighters like Bhagat Singh, Madan LalDhingra and Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. Many of the ideas he espoused such as Akhand Bharat, broad definition of Hindutva and importance of focus on defending the country are relevant even today.
Dr. Romesh Japra said, “Veer Savarkar’s philosophy is very closely tied to the work Americans4Hindus is doing and is key to a thriving community in today’s world.” In a month-long drive, Festival of Globe and Americans4Hindus plans to hold many exclusive premier shows to give community an opportunity to learn about Savarkar and imbibe his values.
