San Francisco, CA – Air India, under new management under Tata continues to expand its network and make it easy for passengers to travel from the USA to India between different cities. Following up on its launch of San Francisco (SFO) to Bengaluru flight, on December 15th, Air India launched its nonstop service from SFO to Mumbai. This will take Air India’s India-US frequency to 40 non-stop flights per week.
Air India initiated the services with an impressive launch ceremony. Consul General Dr. T. V. Nagendra Prasad was the chief guest at the event. Air India RM Americas, Sunil Daware from NYC also attended the launch.
Air India SFO is well staffed with seasoned professionals including K Bama Cariapa- Manager SFO, Geetha Chandrashekar – Airport Manager, Neelaj Sharma – District Sales Manager, and Lydia Chintha- Dy. Airport Manager
The launch was also attended by the San Francisco Airport management including Ivar Satero, SFO Airport Director, and Everett A.Hewlett, SFO Airport Commissioner.
Several leading travel and trade partners / Agents cheered the new service. The flight AI 180 SFO>BOM will be operating:
Frequency- 3 times a week on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. Timings – Departure SFO 2100 and Arrival BOM 0340 + 2 The non-stop sectors would be operated by the State-of-art Boeing 777 – 200 LR with Seat Configuration of Business, Premium Economy, and Economy.
It offers passengers smooth and seamless connectivity to and from India across all metros and other Domestic Sectors. At San Francisco, it will offer connectivity to and from interior points on the west Coast and US.
