FREMONT, CA: The spirit of Sanatana Dharma, scientific inquiry, and global Hindu unity came together in an extraordinary evening as Americans4Hindus (A4H) & Britons4Hindus (B4H) successfully hosted an inspiring Dinner Meet & Greet at the residence of Dr. Romesh Japra and Mrs. Sunita Japra in Fremont, Silicon Valley, California, USA.
The prestigious gathering brought together community leaders, elected officials, candidates, professionals, academicians, and Hindu community members for an evening dedicated to knowledge, leadership, civic engagement, and the timeless wisdom of the Hindu civilization.
A Grand Welcome to an Internationally Distinguished Scholar
The evening commenced with a warm welcome by Dr. Romesh K. Japra, Founder & Chairman of Americans4Hindus (A4H) and Britons4Hindus (B4H), who graciously welcomed the Chief Guest and Keynote Speaker, Dr. Prof. Yash Gupta, one of the most accomplished Hindu scholars and medical professionals in the international community.

An Extraordinary Journey into the Science Hidden Within Sanskrit Scriptures
Delivering a captivating keynote address on “Science in Sanskrit Scriptures,” Dr. Yash Gupta mesmerized the audience with an intellectually enriching presentation that beautifully connected the ancient wisdom of Hindu scriptures with modern scientific discoveries.
Using a simple, engaging, and highly relatable style explaining profound concepts with remarkable clarity Dr. Gupta guided the audience through numerous Sanskrit verses from the Bhagavad Gita, demonstrating how timeless philosophical teachings continue to inspire scientific thinking today.
He explored how advanced concepts described thousands of years ago during the era of the Mahabharata, particularly through the divine dialogue between Lord Krishna & Arjuna, resonate with many technologies and scientific advancements witnessed in the modern world.
His presentation illustrated that Hindu scriptures are not merely religious texts but also profound repositories of knowledge encompassing philosophy, mathematics, astronomy, medicine, ethics, consciousness, and universal principles that continue to inspire scholars across disciplines.
The Philosophy of Infinity and the Discovery of Zero
One of the most fascinating moments of the evening came when Dr. Gupta discussed the philosophical foundations of mathematics through the celebrated Sanskrit invocation:
“Om Purnamadah Purnamidam
Purnat Purnamudachyate
Purnasya Purnamadaya
Purnamevavashisyate
Om Shantih Shantih Shantih.”
He explained its profound meaning:
“That is Whole. This is Whole. From that Wholeness, this wholeness emerges. If the whole is taken away from the whole, the whole still remains. Om. Peace. Peace. Peace.”
Dr. Gupta described how this remarkable expression reflects the ancient Indian understanding of infinity, completeness, and mathematical abstraction, inspiring discussions about the philosophical origins of concepts that later influenced the development of zero and higher mathematical thinking.
The audience was deeply inspired by the remarkable harmony between spirituality, philosophy, mathematics, and science presented throughout the lecture.
