TAMPA, FL: Americans4Hindus (A4H), in collaboration with the Hindu-Jewish Coalition of America (HJCA) and other leading community institutions, recently hosted a series of impactful Meet & Greet events with Congressman Jimmy Patronis (Florida District 1).
The two-day engagement, organized by A4H National leadership and the Florida Chapter, featured four dynamic events that brought together community leaders, trustees, and entrepreneurs. The discussions focused on Hindu American priorities, strengthening civic participation, and reinforcing the importance of political involvement within the community.
Formal Endorsement and Strategic Alliances
During the visit, Americans4Hindus formally endorsed Congressman Patronis for his upcoming 2026 campaign. The Congressman expressed deep appreciation for the Hindu American community and highlighted the necessity of building strategic alliances between Hindu, Jewish, and Greek American communities to support candidates who share values of democracy, economic growth, and cultural harmony.
A key highlight was a special dinner engagement organized by A4H and the HJCA, conceptualized with support from community partners and the Congressman’s staff, including Ms. Paige Primrose. The dialogue explored strengthening ties between the United States, Florida, Israel, and India.
Economic Growth and Legislative Support
Special emphasis was placed on encouraging Hindu-American entrepreneurs in sectors such as Technology, Healthcare, Hospitality, and Education to invest in Florida. Congressman Patronis advocated for his district as a prime location for business expansion to generate local employment and contribute to the state’s business-friendly economy.
In a significant policy development, Congressman Patronis agreed to join and support the Hindu, Buddhist, Sikh, and Jain (HBSJ) American Congressional Caucus, further solidifying his commitment to representing these communities at the national level.
A Call to Civic Action
Dr. Romesh Japra, Founder and Chairman of Americans4Hindus, delivered a powerful message to attendees, urging the community to shape America’s future through active democratic engagement.
“This is a defining moment for Hindu Americans to step forward, lead, and contribute meaningfully to the democratic process,” Dr. Japra stated.
He extended gratitude to key leaders who made the events a success, including:

- Sanjeev Kumar (Vice President)
- Trustees: Jugal Taneja, Shyam Mohapatra and, Dr. Chandresh Saraiya.
Special appreciation was also noted for Mr. Nissim Benjamin Reuben of the American Jewish Committee (AJC) for his vital role in fostering ties between Jewish and Asian American diaspora communities.
