Angad Paul posthumously honoured with Editor's Special AwardLONDON: Leading NRI industrialist Lord Swraj Paul’s late son and former CEO of Caparo Group Angad Paul has been posthumously honored with Editor’s Special Award by a UK-based business association.

Lord Paul’s grandson Arush Paul received the award at the Asian Business Awards organized by Ramniklal Solanki, CBE, Editor in Chief of Asian Media and Marketing Group, from British lawmaker Seema Malhotra in the presence of a distinguished gathering including Indian High Commissioner to the UK Navtej Sarna.

Reading out the citation, Malhotra said, “Angad Paul was one of the rising stars of the business world and had been a winner previously at these awards. He took control of the family business at the age of 32 and it was his drive and passion which saw the company grow on an international scale in the UK, US and India.

“He was a man of many parts. An outstanding entrepreneur who loved films and racing cars so much that he was an executive producer to a number of box office hits and developed his own Formula Two cars. A few weeks after his passing, Hollywood paid tribute to this talented young businessman.”

Angad died in November last year, aged 45. Angad produced films including “Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels”, “Snatch” and “The Tournament”. -PTI
