CHICAGO: India House, a front ranking restaurant in Chicagoalnd, organized its Annual Bridal Expo on Sunday Nov 24 at its facility in Schaumburg. The show was a big success judging from the number of attendees and the manner in which the organizers accommodated every aspect of planning a wedding.
Various stalls specializing in several wedding services were put up by the participants. Over 150 different food items including variety of drinks and starters and complimentary food testing were provided which enabled attendees to see what dishes and drinks were available at India House and how they taste. “We have excellent sitting arrangements for buffet type Dinner/Lunch with agile staff demonstrating how efficiently catering can be done that would touch the customer’s soul and bring to life Indian culture,” said Ravi Rawat and Pritesh Gandhi.
The bridal show covered all aspects of Indian wedding needs: marriage hall of appropriate size with required amenities, designing decorations centered around the theme of the wedding, coordinating flowers arrangements, Mandap decorations, table cloth, chair and napkin design/color, finding a DJ, selecting the entertainment, jewellery, clothes, selection of food menu for different wedding events, preparing the guest list, their local accommodation, organizing transportation for guests etc.
The annual Bridal Expo has been Chicago’s premiere show for many years.
Each show brings vendors from across Chicago area. Everyone who attends tastes and enjoys samples from the best area caterers and cake designers. It allows consumers to sample the wedding cake, hear music, meet wedding photographers, hold flowers, sit in a limousine, and see the bridal fashion show, all under one roof.
There were 40 different vendors who had stalls in the exhibition hall, once again making it easy for parents, relatives and friends of the bride and groom to make their choice and selections. All visitors were given Menu Cards so as to facilitate them to suggest their menu, thereby easing the clients’ decision process.
Most of the attendees were invited guests who were in different stages of planning weddings of their prospective bride and groom. There were more than 500 guests who flocked to this event.
Special attraction was the array of Multi Cuisine Food Tasting. Registration started from 12 pm and there was rush from the beginning. Expo and Food Tasting started immediately and people flocked in large number to many vendors soliciting their advice and tasting and selecting food items.
Saris and Things Fashion Show was a huge success. The event was coordinated by Ravi and Rajeshwari Rawat, Shital Daftari, Noman Khan and Anju Vishal Sharma. Between the Fashion Shows, entertainment was provided by Yeh Cheez Group with Noman Khan, featuring a variety of Bollywood style dances and performances. Over 30 professional models participated in the Saris and Things Fashion Show.
Three rounds of Fashion Shows by Saris and Things displayed latest collection of wedding saris, lehengas, Anarkalis, bridesmaid saris and designer blouses.
