Chinese scion’s murder trial delayed

Chinese scions murder trial delayedREDWOOD CITY, Calif.: The start of a Northern California trial involving a Chinese real estate scion charged with orchestrating the murder of her children’s father has been postponed for a third time.
The San Mateo County district attorney’s office said that a judge set a new trial date of March 9 for 33-year-old Tiffany Li and the two men charged with killing Keith Green in 2016.

Li’s wealthy family helped her post a $35 million bail in April and she remains free pending trial. Her family earned millions operating Chinese construction projects, Li’s attorney Geoff Carr has said.
Prosecutors say she feared losing custody of her children and directed her boyfriend to kill 27-year-old Green.
