FREMONT, CALIFORNIA: On October 7, Dr. Anurag Mishra, candidate for Fremont City Council District 4, withdrew his candidacy and graciously announced his support and endorsement for fellow candidate Manisha Pathak.
Dr. Romesh Japra, Founder and Chairman of Americans4Hindus, oversaw the endorsement during a community meeting at the Vedic Dharma Samaj Hindu Temple in Fremont, California.
Dr. Mishra highlighted the priority of building a stronger and more connected community in Fremont. Manisha Pathak echoed that sentiment, reaffirming that strong communities and strong leadership go hand in hand.
“When we strengthen our community, we create the foundation for leadership that can truly support every resident,” said Pathak. “District 4 is home to people from many backgrounds, generations, professions, and experiences. A strong leader must listen to all of them, bring people together, and make sure every resident feels seen, heard, and represented.”
Pathak was thankful for Dr. Mishra’s support and the spirit of community and collaboration displayed by him in the meeting. She further added, “I am deeply grateful to Dr. Mishra for his gracious support and for putting the strength of our community first. Public service should never be only about an individual candidate. It should be about what we can accomplish together for the people we hope to serve.”
In her campaign, Manisha Pathak has emphasized public safety, homelessness and mental-health services, traffic and infrastructure, responsible housing and growth, environmental sustainability, and stronger community engagement as key priorities. She believes in data-oriented solutions and listening to residents.
“This moment is bigger than any one campaign,” Pathak added. “It is about building trust, strengthening relationships, and working together for a safer, stronger, more connected Fremont. I welcome Dr. Mishra’s support with gratitude and look forward to continuing that spirit of collaboration with residents across District 4.”
The upcoming November 3, 2026 election will determine the next representative for Fremont City Council District 4. Manisha Pathak is endorsed by Americans4Hindus, who are proud to support her as a strong voice for Hindu Americans in civic life and a powerful representative for Fremont’s diverse community.
