Emirates’ non-stop Chicago-Dubai from Aug 5

CHICAGO: Expanding its wings over US skies, Emirates a world class airline, will fly daily non-stop from Chicago to Dubai from August 5 connecting passengers to over 140 destinations worldwide.

Chicago will become the airline’s ninth gateway in the USA soon after Boston it started from March this year. This was announced at a glittering “launch” party event held at Radisson Blue Hotel downtown Chicago on June 11. The star attraction of the party was a First Class Private Suite simulator expo. “Feel the luxury” slogan invited the guests to beeline the simulator and experience it personally.

A large number of Emirates approved travel agents and business persons were invited for the gala dinner. The program was emceed by Emirates local Sales Manager Andrea Smagacz. Ali Kazmi Senior Sales Executive and Alexander Houston Regional Sales Director Central USA welcomed the guests. The daily non-stop service will be operator by Boeing 777-200 LR series with a capacity of 8 First class private suites, 42 Business class with flat bed and 216 in economy class with a configuration of 3-4-3 in a row.

Andrea made a video presentation of Emirates on board facilities and in-flight service. Once on board the First Class passengers will enjoy luxury and privacy of an 82″ long suite with sliding doors and leather seats that form a full flat-bed, a complimentary in-seat mini-bar a desk and dine on demand. The Business class full flat bed seats are privacy adjustable. On board all passengers get choice of multi course meals and a range of complimentary drinks.

For entertainment, sky is the limit; up to 1800 channels on demand, 350 movies from around the world and 100 TV channels and 100 video games plus audio channels. In addition to carrying passengers, the aircraft will also carry up to 17 tonnes of cargo that will further boost trade ties between Dubai and Chicago. Andrea also screened Emirates lounges at Dubai and detailed about Emirates Skywards award-winning frequent flyer program.

There was another video presentation on Dubai, a tourist attraction and world fame duty free shopping hub. Soon after presentation the guests were led in for dinner and many continued to line up for the First Class Simulator experience.

Currently Emirates operates 70 US weekly flights including 2 daily flights with iconic A380 and a third with 777 leaving New York for Dubai via Milan. The other destinations are Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, Houston, Washington and Boston. The Chicago operation will carry passengers for smooth transfer to destinations in India, Pakistan, Africa, Middle East and Australia.
