GURGAON: A 21-year-old Estonian model has been arrested for allegedly creating ruckus outside a mall located at the city’s upscale Golf Course Road, the police said here.

The model, Sovolev Vladislav, who speaks broken English, allegedly misbehaved with the passersby and pelted stones at the vehicles parks outside DT Mega Mall, they said.

According to eyewitnesses, Vladislav allegedly created a ruckus for over half an hour and slapped an elderly resident of DLF Phase I, twisted her arms and abused her. Passersby informed the police.

The accused went to a resto-bar in the mall and hurled abuses at passersby on his way to his guest house, Gurgaon police PRO Subhash Bokan said.

“During investigation, we have found that the accused was involved in misbehaving with some women and passersby in a drunken state. The accused was arrested on the charge of disturbing peace,” ACP (DLF) Shamsher Singh said.

Traces of alcohol were found in Vladislav’s body during a medical examination, he added.

Vladislav had come to India on work visa for a modeling assignment. His visa will expire in December. The accused was produced before a city magistrate and granted bail, the police said. PTI
