CHICAGO: Federation of Indian Associations-Chicago [FIA] has moved into count-down phase to flag-off one of the most dazzling India Independence Day Parades & Mela festivities on Saturday August 16 on Mahatma Gandhi Marg
It is learnt that Illinois Governor Pat Quinn and US Senator Richard Durbin would be present during the Parade. The event will be further spiced with the presence of Zee TV stars Mohit Malik and Neha Marda. They will not only participate in the colorful Parade but will also ‘Meet & Greet’ Chicago fans at the Grand Mela to be held at 2720 W. Devon Ave, Chicago, IL.
The India Independence Day Parade will kick-off at 11:45 am from Devon Ave & Western Ave and will be followed by the Grand Mela that is sure to erupt to a spectacular start. It will be replete with eclectic array of music, dances and singing augmented by mouthwatering food samplers and free gifts/mementos to continue the Indian Independence Day festive exuberance in the India Town aka Mahatma Gandhi Marg.
This Mela is hosted by FIA-Chicago under the chairmanship of Ajeet Singh with Minhaj Akshtar as Co-Chair and teamed up with Chicago’s prominent Sahil & LA Tan.
