CHICAGO: Bollywood actor Aftab Shivdasani will be participating in India Day Parade being organized by the Federation of Indian Associations, Chicago, here in mid August, according to Iftekhar Shareef, FIA Trustee.
Besides Aftab, there will be a number of elected officials from the City of Chicago and State of Illinois, says Ajay Agnihotri, FIA President. This year the parade will attract lot of Indian-Americans as well as well other communities to Devon Ave for a variety of reasons. This is in the light of the fact that FIA will be providing lot of entertainment to people of all ages, including attraction for kids with the presence of clowns, the Tall Man walking around and so many new additions. FIA-Chicago is always committed to promote Devon Ave to be the main hub of ethnic community.
Agnihotri added that FIA-Chicago is constantly addressing issues of concern to the business community of Devon Ave whether it is related to adequate security, law and order, parking and promoting businesses in the area around Devon Ave, Gandhi Marg and /or Jinnah Marg.
Keerthi Ravoori, FIA Vice President, said all are cordially invited to attend the Parade.
