Porn-star-turned-Bollywood-actor Sunny Leone gave her statement to the Thane police in the indecency case a housewife has registered against her. Leone told the police it is inappropriate to link her past with her present.
“The objectionable video clips circulating here belong to when I was working in the adult film industry in the US. I have distanced myself from any such roles after becoming a part of the Indian film fraternity. I feel it would be improper to haunt me with the past when I am trying to move ahead in life,” Leone, an Indian-origin American, was quoted by a source as telling the police.
The complaint against her was registered by Anjali Palan, a member of a right-wing outfit, at the Ramnagar police station. Leone was summoned to the Thane police headquarters as the cyber cell, which is probing the matter, is based there.
