CHICAGO: About 100 members from G. Pulla Reddy Engineering College alumni and friends from all cities of the US travelled to Chicago on weekend of July 7 to join the GPREC Alumni Association North America conference held at Fairfield Marriott, Schaumburg, a northside suburb of Chicago
Two such events in the past including the first grand inauguration of GPREC Alumni North America Chapter in 2014 at Silicon Valley, California and Washington DC followed by one in Dallas in 2017.
Local Chicago chapter members Naveen Aduma and Achyut Kodali welcomed the guests and Siva Shankar Reddy form Washington DC metro area conducted the all-day program. The program started with a speech by K.V. Reddy, president of the association explaining the vision, mission of the association.
Distinguished members of the first batch from the institution Surekha Nadella and Srinivas Chada, Venkatarami Reddy Yerrabolu fro the second batch, and Raju Datla, Nagendra Singamsetty,. Veer Karri, and Venu Pajjuri from the third batch lighted the lamp and remembered the GPREC founder G. Pulla Reddy’s vision to provide affordable and quality professional education to all.
The association recognized several successful professionals and business leaders of the community, including Raju Datla and Veer Karri of Vistex, Venkat Pasula of R3 Technology, Malathi Karri from the state of Wisconsin, and Kiran Vankamamidi of Driscoll.
The afternoon program was packed with fun and professional activities like speed connect, technology and leadership panel discussion, and recognition of women in engineering.
The festive all-day program was concluded by Guru Charan Chitna with recognition and acknowledgements to GPREC Chicago team members Ajit Gurajala, Rajeev Gunukula, Anil Chitreddy, and Sreedhar Babu. The Schamburg/WoodField event center was filled with GPREC College atmosphere for the weekend and concluded with a Tech Toast celebration honoring the members who worked in the formation of GPREC Alumni North America Chapter.
