ICO organizes Navratri Garba to help Indian scholars

CHICAGO: Indian Community Outreach (ICO) organized ICO Cultural Night fundraising event for their annual 2020 scholarship program cause with Garba king Devang Patel at North Central College in Naperville September 12.

This event was attended by more than 3,000 people including elected representatives of the area. The event was kicked off by Krishna Bansal, ICO chairman, with Navratri Durga aarti. He talked about ICO’s activities and contribution over the past many years and appreciated the support given by Patel Brothers, Suga Builder and Bhartiya Seniors Citizens of Chicago.

The fund raised will be used by ICO to recognize and award scholarships in 2020 to the most deserving Indian-American high school senior applicants in Chicago Area.

Those who achieve excellence in the fields of arts, academics, sports, community services and leadership will be given the scholarships. This program was started in 2016 as a vehicle to recognize students of Indian descent and encourage and highlight the accomplishment of the youth.

Devang Patel entertained the crowd by performing One Tali, Be Tali, & Three Tali and singing ‘Sanedo’.
