Indian travel agents ‘bowled over’ by Abu Dhabi

Travel Agents at IPL 2014's inaugural match at Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi Abu Dhabi Tourism & Culture Authority (TCA Abu Dhabi) in association with Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, organised a ‘fam’ trip for six travel agents from Bangalore and Hyderabad for the opening match of the Indian Premier League 2014, held at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi.

The agents included Rajat Kohli from Via.com, Sidheeque from Akbar Travel, Ratish Nair from Kuoni India, Eshwar Reddy from Bunny Akaash Travels, Ajay Ramidi from Lorven Travels and Vijay Mohan Raj from Sameera Travels.

The guests enjoyed the inaugural match between Mumbai Indians and Kolkata Night Riders as well as Arabian hospitality while watching their favorite players pump up the heat at the high-spirited T20 match, they also loved the spectacular view of the field from the VIP boxes.

The adrenaline rush at the match wasn’t just the only high-point of their trip. They also visited the award-winning Yas Waterworld aqua park, Ferrari World Abu Dhabi – the world’s largest indoor theme park, the Sheikh Zayed Mosque, The Ritz-Carlton Abu Dhabi Grand Canal, the iconic Yas Viceroy Abu Dhabi – the only hotel in the world to straddle an F1 racetrack and the beachfront Shangri-La Hotel, Abu Dhabi.

Commenting on his experience, Ratish Nair, Kuoni India, Bangalore said, “This trip to Abu Dhabi was an ecstatic experience which gave us an insight into what all the destination has to offer. Experiencing a well rounded destination with so much to offer each travel segment, left the agents spellbound. Having first-hand experience of Abu Dhabi and noticing the attention to detail which is paid to make it a true destination of distinction, was much appreciated.
