CHICAGO: Members of the Indian diaspora representing the Indian community participated and supported Israel and the Jewish community at the Israel solidarity rally. Terrorism is not an Israel issue, it’s an ongoing humanitarian issue. It must be stopped before it gets too late!
We walked with the American and Indian flags in the middle of a huge crowd. Some people did not recognize the Indian flag which, raised eyebrows and skepticism! But, within a few minutes as people started to recognize the Indian flag, it turned into a center of attraction and a matter of honor, pride, and gratitude. It was an unexpected pleasant surprise for most people!
One of the most prideful moments of my life for holding the Indian flag. People were thanking us and were taking pictures with us like we were celebrities. Well, we were nowhere close to being celebrities, but it was the power of the Indian flag that we were holding!
