CHICAGO: A community organization Kadwa Patidar Samaj of Chicago hosted its Navratri Garba Night in Bartlett Park District Bartlett Illinois on October 15, 2023.
The Garba was attended by More than 500 members and guests participated in the joyful event. There was a live DJ. Garba participants performed one clap -two clap garba and raasto the tunes related to Umiya Mataji, the deity worshiped by the community at large.
Mataji’s palanquin was elaborately decorated and placed in the center of the mandap. All attendees had to be wearing a wristband to be allowed in.
Volunteers Harmil Patel, Satish Patel, Narendra Patel, Rajesh Desai, Vijay Patel, Deepak Patel, Deepak Patel, Tejsh Patel, and Bhagyesh Patel, worked hard to make the program a success.
At 7:30 pm the Navratri Garba began with the puja ceremony. Â Mitha Patel and Jayanti Patel did Maha Arti was performed. Honest Restaurant supplied the food for the event.
