FREMONT, CA: Fremont Hindu Temple resonated with joy, warmth, and cultural pride as devotees and community members came together to celebrate vibrant Lohri, and harvest festival of South India. The temple premises came alive with traditional music, folk songs, devotional spirit, and the symbolic Lohri bonfire, marking gratitude for nature’s abundance and the onset of longer days.
Families, elders, youth, and children participated enthusiastically, offering peanuts, sesame seeds, jaggery, and popcorn to the sacred fire, while prayers were offered for prosperity, health, and harmony. The celebration highlighted the essence of Lohri—thanksgiving, togetherness, and cultural continuity—transcending regional boundaries and welcoming people from all backgrounds.
