FREMONT, CA: On Sunday, July 28 worshippers of Fremont Hindu Temple were treated to melodious Sufi songs. Dr Mamta Joshi, an accomplished Sufi Singer gave Bhajan performance at the temple.
Dr Mamta Joshi is on a world tour to promote Sufi music and raise funds for victims of recent Uttarakhand tragedy, where hundreds perished in flash floods at Kedarnath pilgrim center. She is traveling under the banner of “Beats of Life”, an organization headed by Dr Harmesh Kumar.
She sang many heartwarming Sufi Kalams & Bhajans of different variety and enthralled the audience and had them dancing. Her one and half hour rendition left the audience craving for more. She was welcomed by CFO Manorama Joshi on behalf of the temple.
After the program she along with her family and accompanists and Dr Harmesh and his family, was honored by Temple Chairman Rajesh Verma, Leela Mathur ( Religious Chair), Manorama Joshi ( CFO & Trustee), Veena Birla (Trustee), Sunita Japra and Deepak Chhabra (Chair Event).
