‘Matru Pitri Divas’ celebrated in Fremont

webFREMONT: Valentine’s Day is celebrated all around the world with pomp and joy on 14th February every year. But on the same day this day, Sant Shri Asharam ji Bapu announced to celebrate this day as “Parents Worship Day or Matru Pitri Divas” to increase the mutual respect and love between parents and their children.

In Bay area, Matru Pitri Divas was celebrated on 24th February at Fremont Hindu Temple. The program was attended by over 50 children respecting their parents and performing puja.

It is a celebration to showcase the pure selfless bond between children and parents on a global-level with the objective of creating a strong character and spirit of serving parents.

It begins a social awakening in every home and every human heart by celebrating true love and true valentine in its purest form. This festival draws its inspiration from the poojan of Lord Shiva and Maa Parvati performed by little Ganpati.

The organization has been doing such sewa in Bay area for the last 20 years. They conduct weekly satsangs in Sunnyvale and Fremont temples.
