Mischievous Pak bid to hurt Air India

air india-webCHICAGO: The mischief and trouble from Pakistan is not confined to borders and fomenting inland terrorism. It has spread to the point of hurting our tourism industry and national airliner by spreading mischievous reports and innuendo

It allegedly got a report spread in the media, including on the social media, that a passenger had found “a lizard in his/her meal tray” on board AI 111 (Delhi-London) of 11June (Thursday) with photograph attached.

Air India sources here said that the airliner has thoroughly investigated the “incident” and found it to be false and totally baseless. “No such complaint by any passenger of the flight has been received on board the flight or at the Air India office in London,” this source added.

Earlier, in late March this year, a section of the press carried a news item about an incident where a passenger was reported sick on board an international flight and more than one passenger claiming to be doctors, came forward to help in the medical emergency case. They wanted to see the pilot. According to the report, these doctors and the sick passengers were Pakistani nationals and were trying to get access to the cockpit.

Air India has clarified that the above reports are totally false.

During last week one of the passengers required medical assistance on board a London-Delhi flight. He was assisted by a lady passenger who came forward to help him.

The passenger who required medical assistance was a British passport holder and the nurse who assisted him was of Indian origin. There were no Pakistani national(s) as mentioned in these reports.
