On Saturday, August 29, the MMNA West Coast(N) Sakhi community came alive with color, music, laughter and glamour as 140+ Sakhis and children gathered for an unforgettable evening of Sakhi Bolly Teej Sinjhara at Fremont, California
A celebration where the timeless beauty of Teej traditions met the sparkle and energy of Bollywood, the evening was all about dressing up, showing up and celebrating the beautiful bond of sisterhood.
Teej, But Make It Bollywood!
From the moment the festivities began, the energy was electric. Guests were welcomed with warm smiles and mouthwatering appetizers before diving into an evening packed with entertainment, participation and plenty of filmy fun.
The Bollywood fever kicked off with the Kahoot sensation “Kitne Filmy Ho Tum?”—putting everyone’s Bollywood knowledge to the ultimate test!
The stage then came alive with energetic performances by Sakhis and children during “Aaja Nachle,” while interactive games and activities like “Filmy Rang, Teej Ke Sang” had everyone joining in, cheering and creating memories together.
Whether it was a dance move, a quiz answer, a game challenge or simply cheering from the sidelines, everyone had a moment in the spotlight.
Color, Culture & Couture
The venue transformed into a vibrant celebration of Teej, filled with beautiful décor, colorful traditional attire and an atmosphere bursting with excitement.
From dazzling outfits and joyful performances to endless laughter and candid moments, every corner reflected what Sakhi truly stands for—friendship, culture, connection and community.
Daawat-e-Sakhi
And what better way to bring the evening together than with a feast shared among friends?
“Daawat-e-Sakhi” brought everyone around the table for a delicious potluck dinner, offering an incredible spread of homemade favorites and culinary delights.
But the night was far from over!
As dinner wrapped up, the music turned up and the open dance floor became the final stage of the evening. Sakhis danced, laughed and celebrated together, carrying the festive spirit well into the night.
