Nimish Jani sworn in Trustee of Schaumburg Township

CHICAGO: It was one more feather in the cap for the burgeoning Indian community in Schaumburg area township when one of their members Nimish Jani was formally inducted as a member of the Schaumburg Township Trustee Board early this month.
A gala function was organized recently in the office of the Supervisor of Schaumburg Township. Nimish Jani was administered the oath as a Board of Trustee along with three other Board of Trustees and a Supervisor.

Nimish Jani, residing in the town of Roselle, had contested the election for the post of Board of Trustee and was declared winner in an election held on April 9. The oath ceremony was performed by Margarita Class Hoffman, a renowned Judge of this area. Supervisor Mary Wroblewski and four Trustees – Nimish Jani, W. Robert Vinnedge, Jeffrey S. Mytych, and Diane Dunham were sworn in. A large number of Indian community members as well as well wishers were present on the occasion and all of them congratulated the new Trustees.
Nimish Jani said that Schaumburg Township consists of seven towns: (1) Schaumburg (2) Hanover Park (3) Streamwood (4) Rolling Meadows (5) Elk Grove Village (6) Roselle and (7) Hoffman estate and “I will be in touch with all the residents of theses areas to address their grievances, if any.”

Nimish hails from the city of Ahmedabad in Gujarat State and been living in this part of the world for the last 30 years. He lives with his wife Mita, son Moksha and daughter Purva in Schaumburg area. He has been actively associated with Bochasanvasi Aksar Purusottam Sanstha (BAPS) in Bartlett for the last seven years.
